Every year, we celebrated Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. Such days come and go, but one thing that lasts forever is the love, parents do have for their children for their entire life.
“We never know the love of a parent till we become a parent ourselves.”
From my childhood till day I received the love of my parents, but I deeply felt the intensity of this love when I myself embraced my first daughter. How precious that moment was! Since then I have learned that parents are another name for unconditional love on this earth.
Children are the most precious wealth in the world, a priceless gift. By finding it, man considers himself rich and complete. Such wealth compels them to forget everything, as children are their entire universe.
In our society, parents devote their entire lives for their children, in order to meet their needs and desires.
Parents ‘dreams revolve around their children, and they constantly work hard to fulfill them.
God is love. He is the creator of both parents and children, it is His love that He has poured out into the hearts of men. God’s love is reflected through the lives of parents.
God’s love for us is eternal, so is our parents’. Just as earthly parents start planning for our better future since our birth, so does God the Father. He has planned for our salvation since eternity. Just as earthly parents love their children in spite of their flaws and want their well-being, so the heavenly Father loves us in spite of our sins and always wants the best for us.
“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16
Earthly parents forgive and embrace us, just as Heavenly Father forgives us and admits us into His kingdom when we ask for forgiveness. Children have a lot of expectations from earthly parents and if they need anything they keep asking. Parents, even in limited resources, try to meet the need.
More often, it is observed that children get stubborn for their demands, they get impatient and want immediate response. Obviously, parents being experienced, know exactly what is right and beneficial for their children. Moreover, at what time.
In the same way, when we ask for something from our Heavenly Father, He, like the parents on earth, sometimes fulfills our request immediately, but at times, keeps us in the waiting phase. As He knows when is the appropriate time.
At the moment, whether as parents or children, we understand that our Heavenly Father is our creator and master. Therefore, it is important that we continue to love Him, embrace Him and be grateful.
What should children give to the parents in return for their unconditional love? It must be their obedience and gratitude.
